First commercial for Konditorei Zauner goes on air

The famous Zauner confectionery in Bad Ischl is using the impact of an advertising spot for the first time. The aim is to position the traditional company's new web shop as the perfect solution to the Christmas gift-giving stress. The Salzburg agency and film production company Zenturio Film CreaKon GmbH implemented the campaign.

The Zauner confectionery in Bad Ischl has been around for almost 200 years, and it has been famous far beyond the borders for almost as long. Emperor Franz Josef spent a lot of time in the region to indulge his passion for hunting, and the sweet delights of the Imperial and Royal Court confectionery delighted the Habsburgs and their court. The legendary Zaunerstollen, for example, was created in 1905 and is still baked by the confectioners at Zauner, true to the original recipe. It now delights fans near and far.

To ensure that enjoyment can take place worldwide without any complications, the Zauners have redesigned their web shop this year and it is now even easier and more convenient to have the house's delicacies sent to family, friends and business partners. A real hit, especially at Christmas time, because it's completely stress-free!

For the very first time, Konditorei Zauner has relied on the power of the moving image and trusted the Salzburg agency and film production company Zenturio Film Creation GmbH to implement this project and promote Konditorei Zauner's web shop.

Zenturio has already had international success with campaigns for Kitzbühel and Remax. Six concepts were originally developed, from factual to modern, funny to cool.
Together with the Zauner family, the creatives decided on the traditional approach - and looking back, they are glad about it! What would some competitors give to be able to look back on such a history? The Zauner confectionery is inseparably linked to the House of Habsburg and it would almost be a crime not to use this historical axis - the emperor is still a winner!

In the commercial, Zenturio has chosen a snappy, tongue-in-cheek monarch who engages in a dialogue with the dashing lady behind the counter in the style of the screwball comedies of the fifties and sixties, all staged in a sales room that is still as good as the original!

Filming took place over an entire summer night, as there is no chance of peace and quiet in Café Zauner during the day. The best in the field were chosen for actors, make-up and costumes, and it was worth it: Emperor Hans Jürgen Bertram was Everyman in Mondsee this year, Barbara Novotny is of Reinhardt Seminar caliber, make-up artist Natascha Zenig had already done make-up on Mission Impossible for good reason, and behind the camera were the Hollywood-caliber power couple Heidi Zimmermann and Paulo di Biasi.
