Bad Ischl \/ Innsbruck \u2013 A sweet premiere after almost 200 years of preparation: The Imperial and Royal Court Confectionery Zauner opened its pop-up store today in Innsbruck's new DAS RAIQA district. This marks the first time in its history that the traditional company has its own location outside of Bad Ischl. Around 60 products \u2013 a "very best of Zauner" \u2013 as well as a constantly changing selection of seasonal specialties are now available in the 40 m\u00b2 space. Zauner will remain as the first pop-up tenant in DAS RAIQA until the end of January 2027.<\/p>\n
That the people of Innsbruck had clearly been waiting for Zauner was evident even before the official opening. "While we were still setting up the store, the first passersby already wanted to shop with us," says Philipp Zauner, who runs the family business in its seventh generation. "We couldn't have wished for a better welcome in Innsbruck."\u201e<\/p>\n
60 sweet reasons to visit<\/strong> A special reason to keep coming back is the seasonal highlights that constantly expand the product range. Around All Saints' Day, for example, a very special All Saints' Day Striezel (a type of sweet bread) arrives in Tyrol: refined with caramelized walnuts and candied fruit. From October onwards, the famous Zauner Advent calendars and artfully crafted gingerbread witch's houses also find their way into the store. Towards the turn of the year, further specialties and the traditional New Year's lucky charms follow.<\/p>\n \u201eWe don\u2019t just want to bring a fixed product range to Innsbruck, but rather constantly create new reasons for people to visit us,\u201c says Zauner. \u201eThose who come today and then again a few weeks later will discover something new.\u201c Plus: A showpiece demonstrates the high level of craftsmanship at the Bad Ischl manufactory.<\/p>\n Innsbruck is not unfamiliar territory for Philipp Zauner.<\/strong> \u201eInnsbruck is therefore not just any city for me. All products are created with extensive experience and meticulous attention to detail in Bad Ischl. \nThe pop-up store's selection includes around 60 of Bad Ischl's most popular specialties \u2013 most notably the legendary Zaunerstollen, along with confectionery, pastries, and other classic products. Production continues exclusively at the Zauner bakery in Bad Ischl, with deliveries made from there to Innsbruck.<\/p>\n
\nThe choice of Innsbruck for the premiere outside of Bad Ischl has several reasons. With its central location and modern concept, DAS RAIQA offers ideal conditions for presenting Zauner to a new audience. But a personal connection also played a role in the decision: Philipp Zauner himself studied in Innsbruck and has always felt very much at home in the city.<\/p>\n

\nOn September 1st, the new location on the ground floor of the RAIQA building was officially opened.
