A Melange, served with a fresh pastry

this is not only a pleasure in Café Zauner – here it is culture. Since 1832 confectionery has been part of that special feeling of luxury associated with our establishment. Maintaining the character of traditional Austrian coffee culture is an integral part of our business philosophy. So whether your prefer “melange” or “double mocca” and “cappucino” or “café latte”, you can find them here.

The wisdom of age combined with the willingness to embrace progress and change – this is what we stand for. At Zauner it is more than just a cup of coffee!

Since we present to you in our main house the largest cake buffet in Austria, it is almost obligatory to choose a piece of pastry here. We carry around 250 pie specialities and around 60 different types of chocolates. Thanks to the freshest ingredients and traditional confectionery master craftsmanship, one is more delicious than the other. This makes every visit to the pastry shop Zauner a feast for the palate.

Where communication becomes an event

The name Zauner stands for quality and class. Are you planning a representative company celebration, a particularly important meeting, a stylish family celebration? The Zauner Art Nouveau Salon has the right ambience for you.
In September 1989, after a planning and construction phase of around 1 year, the former ballroom of the Zauner confectionery was reopened as an Art Nouveau Salon.
At considerable expense, an exquisite event hall with a sophisticated bar and small stage was created on the first floor of the main building in Pfarrgasse, which can accommodate up to 150 people (with rows of chairs) or 120 people with tables.

Whether you are planning a company celebration, a conference or a family occasion, the Zauner Art Nouveau Salon, located on the first floor of the Pfarrgasse, will give your event the necessary festive feel.

Austria is lucky enough to be able to offer lovers of cakes and pastries a wide range of exquisite creations in numerous coffee and pastriy shops. Many of these have a long tradition to look back on and it is for this reason Austria known across the globe as the home of the cake shop.

In Zauner’s bakery, we celebrate the traditional art of Austrian confectionery. Every day 30 confectioners and 8 chief strive to produce the finest top quality cakes and pastries. The production of delicious traditional confectionery goes hand in hand with the creation of new sweet delights in one of the most modern bakeries in Austria. The variety ranges from the preservation of traditional recipes, such as the Zauner Kipferln, the Kaisertorte, the Strawberry Roulade and the Ischl Oblates to the creation of ever new trendy culinary delights.

High quality, freshness and creativity are the guidelines of our bakery.

Zauner specialities are undoubtedly counted among the greatest representatives of the world famous Austrian café and confectionery culture.

The highest standards of perfection and professionalism are also met by our professionals in the bakery or in the kitchen of the restaurant.
